Rapid Assessment LED Lighting Product Life Research Methods

LED lighting is known as the fourth generation of lighting with the rapid development of LED technology, but there is a great gap with the theoretical life, the prevalence of LED lighting product standards and testing system is not yet perfect and lack of authoritative testing platform and scientific evaluation methods, Thus, life evaluation of LED lighting products has become a concern, an effective and fast life assessment methods to support.The method of the life quickly evaluate is presented for the LED lighting products, the method including the accelerated life test method and the experiment data processing. Based on the analysis of failure mechanisms LED lighting products, the implementation of experimental data processing come up with a reasonable mathematical statistical analysis under accelerated life accelerated stress theory to determine the appropriate level and a reasonable testing program.The main results are the following:1.Based on Temperature stress as the acceleration,constant temperature accelerates life test for the test sample, the test time is shorted by a luminous flux attenuation detecting failure criterion;2. based on flux test data at three levels of temperature stress, the Weibull distribution to describe the life of the product distribution, products life of the extrapolated normal stress is presented using the least squares method and the Arrhenius model test data for statistical analysis;3. The test results are verified based on the test of the existence of the problem as well as the uncertainty of the test results. A reliable scientific methods and data is provided for the development and application of LED lighting products.
