Purpose: This study used micro-arc oxidation technology for pure titaniumalloy surface modification, the proliferation and adhesion ability ofosteoblasts on the surface was determined.Means: This study used micro-arc oxidation technology for pure titaniumalloy surface modification, which400μm titanium beads were sintered intoporous titanium in vacuum conditions, and produced silicon and calciumcoatings. Then investigate the surface morphology and phase composition ofthe coatings. The proliferation and adhesion ability of osteoblasts on thesurface was determined by CCK-8method.Result:The proliferation ability of osteoblasts on the oxidized andunoxidized surface was determined by CCK-8method, The results indicatedthat both the proliferation and adhesion ability of osteoblast on theoxidized surface were better than the unoxidized surface. Conclusion: The MAO coatings including silicon and calcium have a good cellcompatibility.
