Objective:Through transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation (TEAS) on rabbit orthodontics treatment for toothache, observe the TEAS therapy of rabbit pain threshold rate, weight difference, beta-endorphin in cerebrospinal fluid and the influence of serotonin levels, preliminarily TEAS therapy intervention in orthodontics toothache possible central mechanism and provide experimental basis for clinical use.Methods:Choose24male rabbits were randomly divided into3groups by weight (8) in each group:the blank group, the abnormal group and TEAS. Orthodontic group, TEAS in experiment one day rabbit orthodontics experimental model is established. TEAS group using percutaneous electrical stimulation of double side valley cave and the bilateral maxillary first molars treated surface corresponding to the point,20min/times, two times a day, seven days; the general situation of rabbit was observed, the pain threshold rate, weight difference, the influence of, enzyme-linked immunosorbent analysis detection of beta-endorphin in cerebrospinal fluid, serotonin levels, the data using SPSS software, the data using statistical tests of the single factor analysis of variance.Results:(1) Pain threshold rate comparison:three groups of rabbit pain threshold change volatility is larger, the animal pain threshold after orthodontic treatment rate appears obviously negative growth is lower than the blank group (P<0.01); TEAS pain threshold after treatment no obvious negative growth rate, compared with orthodontic group increased significantly (P<0.05).(2) Weight difference comparison:blank group, the weight showed a trend of rise, after the orthodontic treatment of rabbit body weight was significantly negative (fall), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01); And after treatment with TEAS, weight difference is not significant negative growth, but there was no statistically significant difference in comparison with orthodontic group.(3) Serotonin synthesis in cerebrospinal fluid in the release of comparison:serotonin is inversely proportional to the content of absorbance values. Orthodontic group release serotonin synthesis in cerebrospinal fluid in the absorbance value overall trend is lower than the blank group, but there was no significant difference (P>0.05); TEAS serotonin synthesis in cerebrospinal fluid in the group to release a quantity to the absorbance value on the overall trend significantly below orthodontic group (P<0.01). According to serotonin is inversely proportional to the content of absorbance values showed that the TEAS therapy can effectively promote the orthodontic toothache the release of serotonin in cerebrospinal fluid in the rabbit.(4) The comparison of beta-endorphin in cerebrospinal fluid in the synthesis of release:beta-endorphin is inversely proportional to the content of absorbance values. Synthesis in the cerebrospinal fluid released after orthodontic treatment of beta-endorphin absorbance value was significantly higher than the blank group (P<0.05); TEAS treatment after the synthesis of beta-endorphin in cerebrospinal fluid in the release of the absorbance value is generally lower than orthodontic group, with significant difference (P<0.05). According to beta-endorphin absorbance value is inversely proportional to the content of relationship shows that TEAS therapy can effectively promote the release of orthodontic toothache beta-endorphin in cerebrospinal fluid in the rabbit.Conclusion:(1) TEAS therapy can enhance the body’s pain threshold, the orthodontics toothache has obvious analgesic effect.(2) TEAS can alleviate orthodontic toothache the trend of weight loss.(3) Orthodontics can promote the release of serotonin content in the cerebrospinal fluid, but the inhibition of cerebrospinal fluid in the release of beta-endorphin, after treatment with TEAS in cerebrospinal fluid in the orthodontic tooth animals beta-endorphin, serotonin content were significantly higher, central beta-endorphin, serotonin levels rise may be TEAS orthodontic toothache central analgesic mechanism of treatment, and TEAS therapy could relieve after orthodontics beta-endorphin and serotonin in the central of negative correlation.(4) TEAS therapy has analgesic effect in orthodontics toothache has potential application value.
