Objective: On the basis of the clinical experience of “to treat PU as carbuncle”, todiscuss the correlation between the endoscopy manifestation and PU’s syndromedifferentiation of TCM, so as to provide some clinical theoretical support to thesyndrome differentiation of TCM by combining the diagnosis of endoscope, and thento enhance the diagnosis and treatment level.Methods:1.Clinically collected133PU patients who met the inclusion criteria, andgathered relative clinical information.2. Used SPSS15.0for logging data andstatistical analysis.3. On the basis of the clinical experience of “to treat PU ascarbuncle”, discussed the correlation between the syndrome differentiation of TCMand DU’s or GU’s location, age, size, coating status or Hp infection conditionrespectively.Results:49.62%of GU and DU agree with excess heat syndrome, and42.11%ofthem are at active stage. There is no significant difference of the ulcer location, coating status, and Hp infection condition among GU’s five groups (P>0.05), butthere is certain correlation with the ulcer age and size. Active GU mainly belongs tothe syndrome of stagnation of liver and stomach. Healing GU mainly belongs tosyndrome of deficient cold of spleen and stomach. Scarring GU mainly belongs tosyndrome of Stomach Yin deficiency. The size of GU belonged to syndrome ofstagnation of liver and stomach and syndrome of stagnant and jammingdampness-heat is bigger than the other three groups. And the size of GU belonged tosyndrome of stagnation of liver and stomach is biggest. There is no significantdifference of the ulcer age, location, and Hp infection condition among DU’s five groups (P>0.05), but there is certain correlation with the ulcer size and coating status. The size of DU belonged to syndrome of deficient cold of spleen and stomach issmaller than the other groups. The coating rate of DU belonged to syndrome ofdeficient cold of spleen and stomach is higher than the other groups. Conclusion: Among patients with GU or DU who consult to hospital and acceptendoscopy examination, excess heat syndrome or ulcer at active stage is not rare. Theexist of stagnated heat as a pathological mechanism is proved from both whole andpart diaglection. GU shows some correlation with the ulcer age and size. GU ofsyndrome of stagnation of liver and stomach is often bigger, and often at active stage.GU of syndrome of deficient cold of spleen and stomach is often at healing stage. GUof syndrome of Stomach Yin deficiency is often at scarring stage. DU shows somecorrelation with the ulcer size and coating status. DU of syndrome of deficient cold ofspleen and stomach is smaller, and its rate of coating is higher. DU of syndrome ofstagnation of liver and stomach and syndrome of stagnant and jammingdampness-heat is bigger, but its rate of coating is lower. These facts basically agreedwither my teacher is clinical experience.
