Purpose:To observe the influence of the different methods of exerciserehabilitation on the patients knee stability and function movement afteranterior cruciate ligament injury and reconstruction, and to reveal the roleof functional training in knee rehabilitation.Material and method:52patient’s in-patient was randomly divided intotraditional rehabilitation group, progressive strength training group andfunctional rehabilitation group. All patients received arthroscopic ACLreconstruction operative. Then, given the different rehabilitation exercises tothe different groups. At preoperative, post-operative6,12,18months we assessedof rehabilitation effect, and compared rehabilitation index, mainlyrehabilitation index included: functional movements test (FMS), core stabilitytest (CST), range of motion of knee joint (ROM), the stability of the knee, musclestrength, Lysholm score. Results:Preoperative there was no significant difference of all indexes during threegroups of patients (P>0.05). Post-operative6,12,18months,there wassignificant difference with preoperative compared during three groups; Theindexes such as ROM,SM,Lysholm,SEBT,FMS were significantly higher thanpreoperative (P <0.05),and the indexes about KT2000,TC,SHD,TRHD,SST,CST werelower than preoperative (P<0.05).Compared with the three groups of post-operative, the indexes of functionalrehabilitation group such as ROM, SM, Lysholm score, SEBT, FMS were significantlyhigher than the strength training group and the traditional rehabilitation group, the indexes of KT2000,TC,SHD,TRHD,SST,CST were significantly lower thanthe strength training group and the traditional rehabilitation group (p<0.05).The test of FMS、CST、SEBT show that: All patients preoperative test showedsignificant compensatory action. CST score was2nd digress. After12months rehabilitation exercise, the left and right side of body of the functionalrehabilitation training group is more balanced. CST score was arrived1st digress.After18months the FMS test show that there have no compensatory in functionalrehabilitation group, but there have significant compensatory in strengthtraining group and in traditional rehabilitation group. Functionalrehabilitation group have significant differences compared with the strengthtraining group (P <0.05), and there have extremely significant difference withthe traditional rehabilitation group (p <0.01). There were extremely significantdifference compared with the pre-operation (p <0.01).Recommendation1. It is can improve the patients capacities, especially athletic ability byuse functional rehabilitation program. The study result shows that appropriatefunctional training may effectively shorten the recovery time for performanceability after injury.2. It is simple and scientific method to use FMS test for testing and evaluatingpatients functions. Functional training program derived from test results werereliable and effective. It has the best long-term efficacy.3. Regular assessment and test could help patients promote the recovery of kneefunction.
