Objective:To analyze the correlation among expression of Human Eidermal Gowth Rceptor2(HER2) and mammography and ultrasound imaging manifestations.Methods:Pre-operative mammographic and ultrasound datas of361women with breast cancer were retrospectively reviewed who certified by pathology.84HER2-positive pathology and277HER2-negative pathology were divided in four groups according to the different expressions of estrogen receptor(ER) and progesterone receptor(PR) showed by immunohistochemical reports:group I (HER2positive/negative, ER—, PR—;84), group II (HER2positive/negative, ER+, PR+;246). The main aspects on mammography contain lesion type (mass, calcification or distortion). The margin and size of masses were analyzed. The morphology and distribution of calcification were analyzed. The main aspects on ultrasound conclude lesion type (mass, calcification or distortion), margin of mass, blood flow,with or without hyperecho focus and axillary lymph node metastasis. Datas of each subgroup were analyzed with the Chi-square(χ2)test, P<0.05indicated a significant difference.Results:Comparatively analyzed mammographic and ultrasound findings of HER2-positive and HER2-negative breast cancers in four subgroups showed:In group Ⅰ Mammography, HER2+/ER-/PR-subgroup:pure microcalcifications more than masses, broken stone calcifications, regional distribution; more irregular masses, indistinct margin. HER2-/ER-/PR-subgroup:more pure masses, round masses, distinct margin. Ultrasonography:HER2+/ER-/PR-subgroup:more structure distort area of hypoechoic,, indistinct margin, punctate dence echo in hypoechoic mass background. HER2-/ER-/PR-subgroup:more hypoechoic mass, distinct margin. There were rich blood supply in both subgroup. There are not statistically significant difference. In group Ⅱ, Mammography, HER2+/ER+/PR+subgroup:pure calcifications or masses associated with calcifications, branching calcifications, segmental distribution; spiculated margin of masses; HER2-/ER+/PR+subgroup:pure masses., indistinct margin, punctate calcification, regional distribution. Ultrasonography:There were more the edge of Crab feet like disorder of hypoechoic mass in both two groups. HER2+/ER+/PR+subgroup had more punctate dence echo in the hypoechoic background, rich blood supply, resistance index more than0.7. There are statistically significant difference.Conclusions:HER2-positive and HER2-negative breast cancer show different mammographic and ultrasound imaging findings when the different expressions of ER and PR.
