Objective:The correlation between the change of serum cystatin C level in patients with acute cerebral infarction and carotid therosclerotic plaque.Methods:Selected65healthy people who came from physical examination center between June2011and July2013as control group(group A), then no plaque of carotid artery in our hospital in patients with cerebral infarction (group B) in66patients with carotid artery plaque in72cases (group C) as study group, the clinical data collection, the correlation between the retrospective analysis group serum cystatin C level and carotid atheromatous plaque.Results:1、Acute cerebral infarction patients, serum cystatin C level plaque group was significantly higher than non plaque group and control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).2、There is the level of CysC in patients with acute cerebral infarction and carotid artery plaque group IMT was significantly higher than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); noCysC horizontal plaque group was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); carotid artery intimal thickening of IMT, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).3、Pearson correlation analysis showed that, CysC level is associated with carotid artery IMTConclusions:1、With the thickening of the increased serum level of CysC and carotid artery IMT, risk of acute cerebral infarction.2、The serum CysC may be involved in the formation of carotid atherosclerosis plaque, its content increased, the risk of carotid atherosclerosis.
