Mario Vargas Llosa is a famous writer in Peru, he is honored be one of the four chiefcommander in Latin American library “Boom” because of his outstanding library achievement.Mario Vargas Llosa was award with Nobel Prize Address for Literature, to be honored for hisprominent contribution in the word library. His works include novels, essays, drama andcomments, among which the full-length novels catch the most attention.In the theory respect, Llosa’s intervention poetics is influenced by literature intervention ofSartre, and it synthesizes Llosa’s opinion as well. Intervention, imagination and resistance arethe keywords in Llosa’s literature theory, and these three concepts complement each other.Literature by the way of imagination to intervene reality, resist the reality to the end. Literatureintervention is action, both the authors and the readers can reform the world towards literature.In the practice respect, the American writer William Faulkner have a great influence on Llosa’sliterary craft. Llosa is expert in condensing space and time, changing the narration views, andtries to build a literary world on the whole. Literature intervenes reality is an intervention on thewhole, so writers should have a soul of shouldering the world.The most of Mario Vargas Llosa’ works reflect the theme of againsting dictatorship, power,sex and resisting are the three main element about this theme. His novels is famous for itsinnovative structure and multiple skills, Vargas Llosa never stop the exploring about the form.In his works, he emphasizes the writing style, pursues grand effect and uses interconnectingpipe skill. Mario Vargas Llosa intervene in reality successfully according to the combinationbetween content and form, while writer keep his distance from reality. Making use ofimagination and fiction to let novels keep apart with reality, scaning and rethink motherland in astatus of exiled writer, and never giving up criticizing and surpassing the reality—these arewriter how to keep a distance with reality. Mario Vargas Llosa’ poetics of intervening contributepower to the word library, and point out a way to the library’s future in informational society.
