The Research On Vargas Llosa's Novels

Mario Vargas Llosa is a well-know Peruvian writer in the world. All his life, Llosa has created abundantly in diversified styles, which include poem, essay,drama,translation,critic and novel.However, it is his novel especially the long ones that laid the foundation for his great reputation in literary circle.In summing up the experience and achievements of previous studies, this thesis attempts to conduct a research into Llosa's original works of literature. It aims at exploring the thought implications and the art forms in his works.Llosa contemplates and reconsiders social realities through rational examination of political issues, revelation of the plight of female survival, and free writing. In the aspect of narrative skills, he pays great attention to the use of angle of view and likes using various angles of view to reflect the reality from multiple perspectives as possibly as he can. His novels are not only full of the old"showing"but also rich in the modern"telling". In addition, the utilization of painting, music and visual elements in the novel has expanded the displaying scope and has brought refreshing aesthetic effects, which makes Llosa's novels more solid in time and space.As a worldwide master, Llosa and his creation have the enlightenments and significances to the Chinese contemporary literature.
