As the neighboring states, Japan, South Korea has very close contacts with Chinasince ancient times. There’re many similar fields between them in the area of culture,science and technology, thought and so on. The “Chinese Culture” which fromancient China is the developing foundation of Japan and South Korea. Undoubtedly,ancient China is the knowledge beginner and model of Japan and South Korea.With the development of human society, Japan and South Korea take a step incontact with western advanced culture before China and combine it with “AncientChinese Culture”. Then Japan and South Korea composed their own “Local Culture”.China is no longer the pioneer. Since the reform and open policy, Chinese peoplefocus more on the economic field, but fade the protection and inheritance of Chineselocal culture from their memory. The loss of Chinese local culture is imperceptibly.Therefore, with the enhancement of comprehensive national strength and thinkhighly of local culture, the local culture of Japan and South Korea spread to Chinagradually. Some people call this phenomenon “Culture Feedback”. From thepopularity of “Japanese Wave” and “Korean Wave” in China, we can see thatJapanese and South Korean local culture have already found wide develop-soil inChina.“The medium is the message” which proposed by Canada communicationexpert Marshall Mcluhan clearly point out the importance of the means ofcommunication. As a mirror image language, TV drama relying on its own advantages(such as concrete, direct, multidimensional, dynamic, without the constraint of timeand space) has been widely penetrated into peoples lives. Therefore, Japanese andSouth Korean TV dramas which have many audiences in China become an importantmean of culture communication. It is an important way to “sell” Japanese and SouthKorean local culture to China; also it’s an important branch of “Culture Feedback”.The “Culture Sell” of Japanese and South Korean TV dramas, makes the audiencesaccept entertainment and at the same time, also accept the local culture of Japanand South Korea. Therefore, research on Japanese and South Korean TV dramas is very important and necessary.By watching a lot of Japanese and South Korean TV dramas and reading therelevant literature, the writer think that high production standards, huge attentionsof local culture, the development of the network media are the reasons whyJapanese and South Korean TV dramas can be the way of “Culture Sell”. And bases ontradition and spirit, focuses on entertainment, pays attention to fashion are thecharacteristics of “Culture Sell”.The success of “Culture Sell” also leads a development of related industries in acertain extent. Since the fever of Japanese and South Korean TV dramas extend fromspirit to material, the audiences will spend money on clothes, jewelry, even shootinglocations of those dramas. So, in our country, Japanese and South Korean TV dramasgain both fame and wealth: promote the local culture and stimulate thedevelopment of related industries.This paper will combine examples and analysis. Focus on the “Culture Sell” ofJapanese and South Korean TV dramas. Then analyze the present situation anddevelop way of China TV industry. This study aims to awake our attention of our ownlocal culture and make us watch out for the culture invasion of other countries. Atthe same time, search the way to combine TV dramas with local culture for improvethe culture connotation of Chinese TV dramas and make them become the importantway of Chinese local culture communication. And then, make “Culture Feedback”change to “Culture Complementation”. Set up a new way of Chinese culturepropaganda and popularization.
