Application Of Natural Signs In Landscape Painting Creation

Taking stone texture for example, the application of natural signs is studied in this thesis to reveal the relationship between landscape oil painting and natural signs. The research aims to sum up the types and characteristics of stone texture as well as their application values in painting, and to combine the natural signs with the spirit of the age in order to provide certain theoretical basis and practical references for landscape oil painting with Chinese traditional cultures.The research takes the application of natural stone texture in landscape oil painting as the focus. The first step is to sum up laws for guiding this practice research through collecting, reading and sorting out related literatures. The author will deeply study pictures of stone texture collected in nature to reveal the relationship between natural stone texture and landscape oil painting, to show the important role of natural signs and the spirit of Chinese culture connotation in the application of stone texture in landscape oil painting. The second step is to practice applying stone texture in landscape oil painting at the basis of sufficient arguments to explore the application ways of stone texture in landscape oil painting. The practice includes three aspects: working out research plan and noting the research process and experiment in detail; developing systematic theories through analyzing, summing up and refining the findings from the research; finding out the effective ways of establishing personal painting style through practicing landscape oil painting creation.The characteristics of natural signs can provide landscape oil painting with references and enlightenment, contributing to the innovation and improvement of painting skills and the establishment of personal painting styles, therefore natural signs has an important enlightenment value to the creation notion of landscape oil painting. The harmonious relationship between human beings and nature has been always attached importance to in Chinese traditional culture, which shapes unique Chinese view of nature. Corresponding with the spirit connotation of Chinese culture, stone texture research contributes to the creation of landscape painting with Chinese national characteristics and has significance of the times. Through the research, we can figure out the relationship between natural signs and landscape oil painting, and further comprehend natural signs from a new perspective to provide more theory guidance for improving landscape oil painting.
