Light novel is now the hottest novel-type in teenage.It appeared in Japan last70s.At that time, there was a heat on reading Fantasy and Science Fiction in Japaneseyoung people. Also the RPG games were very popular, too. These two factors bothhad a deep influence to the features of Light Novel. Since90s Light Novel hadbecame a popular readings in young people and got its name in1990.The creation ofLight Novel focus on reader’s feelings. Light Novel tries its best to show its ‘leisurereading’ from outlooks to intrinsic means of creation.As a second-culture, Light Novel has a natural link to Children’s Literature. Thespirit which George Mcdonald’s works contain had influenced Children’s Fantasysince19th century, and Light novel in modern time. The Lord of the Ring by Tolkiengave birth to Light novel directly and his relates and analyzes on the fairy tales alsohad influences on it. However, sociality and entertainment are two differencesbetween Children’s Literature and Light novel. They are shown on differences ofcreation of characters, setting of the story backgrounds and language style which arebetween The Special Legend and Harry Potter. As the heat of Light novel continuing,it has had some influences on the creating of Children’s Literature. NO.6which wasmade by Asano Atsuko looked like a light novel in the creation of characters and thestory mode, but its inner spirit was still from Children’s Literature.The ‘New media’ and ‘light reading’ are two hottest topics in commentaryChildren’s Literature. The researcher’s opinions on new media now from refusing toaccept partly. It reflects that it’s urgent mixing creating means of Children’s Literatureand new media. However the practice on it was not satisfies. And the researchers areagainst to reading type of light reading, too. If we consider these two questions froma light novel-way, we may find a solution to the contradiction between traditioncreating means of Children’ s Literature and the facts that teenage having a fanic onnew media and light reading mode.
