Modernization Identity Choice

China is a unified multi-ethnic country and the national culture is diversity and unity. With the development of society and economy, the interaction becomes frequently between the different nationalities and ethnic groups. In the process of interaction, a variety of cultural elements gradually contact, exchange, variation, innovation, these factors lead to the generation of society and ethnic cultural changes. In China, the diversity and unity pattern of the Chinese nation has been formed, all kinds of the national cultures find their beauty, and that of others; share the beauty; and achieve unity. In these cultures, a part of the sub-cultural groups gradually attract scholars and other people, including the object of this paper:Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Alxa Zuoqi Mongolian Muslim people.Previous researchers who studied Alxa Zuoqi Mongolian Muslim, firstly focused on reformation of the historical origin, secondly paid attention to their unique customs,whose language, folk culture and so on were similar to Mongolian while religious belief is similar to the Hui minority and the Dongxiang minority. This article bases on previous studies, and gets the first-hand materials through the ethnology fieldworks, then applies cultural acculturation, ethnic identity theory to give a certain description of the Mongolian Muslims, especially the young people’s culture and religious beliefs, then makes a deep-seated interpretation and understanding. Finally, the paper predicts the future development trend of the Mongolian Muslim culture and proposes thinking.Specifically, the first chapter makes a statement of the reason and significance of thesis, sorts out the references and the use of research methods and theoretical support.The second chapter of this article introduces the field points, and then reviews Alxa Zuoqi Mongolian ethnic origin formation and northwest Muslim ethnic origin formation,the paper makes a more comprehensive analysis on the reason of the local Mongolian Muslim ethnic original and legends. By analyzing field datum, the third chapter describes the relevant circumstances that the Mongolian Muslim youngers in ethnic origin legend, dietary customs, marital selection and funeral customs. And the author further elaborates the ethnic cultural identity, the compliance of Islam doctrine, the weddings, funerals, other social life and customs, religious clergy’s culture and so on, so as to analyze the varying degrees of impact on the way of thinking, ognitive and life custom. The forth chapter analyzes the history and reality reasons of the weakening trend of Mongolian Muslim youngers faith on the basis of describing the Mongolian Muslim religious current situation, through cultural acculturation, ethnic identity theory, the paper studies Mongolian Muslim’s heritage and evolution of culture and faith. The paper predicts the Mongolian Muslim culture will have a long-term development. Finally the author puts forward some thinking on carrying out surveys, training teaching staff, strengthening national unity education, stepping up publicity and so on.
