On The "Sketch" On The Painting Of Pi

“Sketch”was an inescapable subject for all the painters of twenty century;each painter should have its own answer. Huang Junbi（1898-1991）,who almostwalked one hundred year which is unusual to the Chinese painting history. He studiedboth traditional Chinese painting and Western paintings for several years, which is aspecial individual case that was difficult to peel with that era. His attempt in ChineseLandscape Painting was a kind of answer of the “Sketch” subject, which provided anew model for painters at that time and later ages.I will clarify the “sketch” concept by analyzing the various ancient “sketches”principle and “sketch to the view “description in this paper. Then I will analyze thechanges of “sketches” during twenty century by sorting cognition of painters intwenty century, and the influence of Huangs “sketch” views which affected bythose changes. At last, I will make a concrete analysis of the influence of “sketch” onhis work and the embodiment of his sketch views in his works.
