| Different features and cultural of different countries’would lead to different views and habits then form their own specialties. Measure words in Chinese language is a difficult point to Thai students. This essay trys to compare and analyse the Measure words in Chinese language and Thai language to find out the differences in semanteme and grammar between these two languages. There are four parts in this essay:the first part compared the common Measure word in Thai language with thesein Chinese languages; the second part,compared the sematical differences between these two languages; the third part,compared the differences of grammar between these two languages; the last pat in conclusion.After analysis and comparing we found out that these two languages have several differences in both semanteme and grammar. For example, there are differences about Measure word in Thai languages and Chinese languages:the common word order in Chinese languages is "Number+Measure word+Noun",but in Thai languages it would be "Noun+Number+Measure word". Additionally, there is no reduplication of Measure in Chinese languages but in Thai languages the two-syllabic Measure word can be reduplicated. Though there are several differences between these two languages, there are still some similarities which worth study though.As a student from Thailand, the author hope this essay could help with those who study Chinese languages and from Thailand. The author also hopes that this essay could help readers know more about the Measure both in Chinese languages and Thai languages semantically and grammatically. |
