Hongsheng Poetry

Hong Sheng, a famous writer from the beginning years of Qing Dynasty. He is famous with the creation of Immortal Palace that is called "music first"opera. And direction known collectively as "South Hong North Kong" with Kong Shangren. Regrettably, the scholars pay much attention on his drama creation,therefore also ignore its another identity-poet.In fact,Hong Sheng’s poetry creation is unique, and produced extensive and far-reaching effect in the beginning years of Qing Dynasty. But at present about the study of his poems is relatively weak, the academic outcomes, and the creative achievement discrepancy. In this paper, the poetry of Hong Sheng is our object. We discuss the poetical thoughts, creation and artistic characteristic from multiple angles, combing description and explanation.This paper consists of five parts:The first part is Portry collection. Through comparative analysis of three books of poetry to make a preliminary review, and pave the way for the study of Hong’s poetry.The second part is on Hong’s poetics origin and poetic thought. Combined with his lifetime to discuss the relationship with Lu Fanchao,Xiling ten people, Wang Shizhen,Shi Runzhang, summarizes four aspects of the poetic thought, they are respectively "inherit from xiling, access method in tang dynasty""writing are for conveying truth, peace mellow""advocate temperament and true poem""against simulation, pay attention to charm".The third part is the ideological contents of poetry. We analyze the categorization from its content, mainly divided into personal lyric poetry, conversation poems, scenery poems, mourning poems. These poems write down the image of the poet’s life experience, which can be regarded as poet’s life history and rethinks.The fourth part is a research on the artistic characteristics of poems.From the poetry genre, focusing on analysis of the Hong’s poetry in the creative process in the form of"less use of allusions, metrical structure""the body of both, especially good at five-character-regular-verse""language shallow feeling catch, deep feeling""words refining, statement of soft",these aspects of artistic styles and linguistic features reveal his unique artistic charm.The fifth and last part is Hong’s status and influence. Give Hong Sheng’s poetry impartial judge, and re-address the status and history of the impact of his poems which reflects its value from an objective point of view.
