With the development of researching in the field of emotion regulation, attention has been paid to the relationship between emotion regulation and decision-making by researchers recently. Studies have shown that the process of reward and loss aversion can be modulated by cognitive regulation, which also can influence the individual susceptibility to the framing effect and performance in the social-interactive decision mking. A recent study have found that emotion regulation has a certain relationship with the performance of the Iowa gambling task(IGT), but did not investigate the effect of different emotion regulation strategies on the performance of IGT. Therefore, we enrolled56subjects, who has been instructed to reappraising the results of the decision-making, to investigate the affect of cognitive reappraisal on the IGT performance and physiological changes (Skin conductance responses, SCRs). This study attempts to explore psychological and behavioral mechanisms of cognitive reappraisal and the IGT.The results show that:(1) the performance of the no regulation group of the IGT is better than the regulation group, but the difference between this two groups was not significant;(2) no difference has been found between this two groups in the self-report of how good or bad of the four decks;(3) the regulation group facing different decision-making results (reward and punishment) showed significantly lower feedback SCRs than the no regulation group; regarding different decision-making results, no regulation group showed significantly stronger feedback SCRs for punishment than reward, but this difference disappeared in the regulation group.(4) the regulation group facing different decks (good cards and bad cards) demonstrated significantly lower expect SCRs than the no regulation group; considering different decks, the two groups both showed significantly higher expect SCRs for bad decks than good decks. Conclusions:cognitive reappraisal almost not affects the performance of the decision-making, and also does not affect the subjective experience of the individual among the decision-making process. On physiological changes, cognitive reappraisal not only be able to effectively regulate the feedback of reward, but also effectively weakened the feedback of punishment, and this influence is also reflected in the activities of the expectation of making decisions.
