Yu Illustrates Poetry Study

Yu Chan was very diligent and had many works in his life.He was honored as "outstanding representative of resurgence time"with Cao Pi and his poems were widely popular, all of which made him the only person in Yu family in Yingchuan who was listed in Jin Shu·Wen Yuan Zhuan. However, there are not many of Chan Yu’s works left in the world today and these works are unfortunately not complete, so academic circle pays a little attention to him. This paper strives to study Chan Yu’s life experience and literary creation under that complicated social situation and the study is based on an all-round collection of Chan Yu’s information.This paper is divided into five parts. Part1is an introduction and mainly covers the spread and record of Yu Chan’s works as well as contemporary study of Chan Yu. This part gathers much information from many places, laying a sound basis for the following analysis of him and his works.Part2is the analysis of Chan Yu’s life experience and his family. The author makes a detailed textual research of Chan Yu and uncovers the influence of his family on his creation. This part finds new discovery of his life experience.Part3analyzes the creation background of Chan Yu’s poems and essays from the perspectives of turbulent times, strict filial piety and the flourish of metaphysics and Buddhism. The analysis of creation background is a good way to learn the common spirits of the times, thus making readers have a correct understanding of his poems and essays.Part4is the analysis of contents and artistic characteristics of Chan Yu’s poems, and the focuses are scenic poems together with immortal poems. The author will detailedly discuss the language, form,state and other aspects when it comes to artistic characteristics of Chan Yu’s poems.Part5is the analysis of contents and artistic characteristics of Chan Yu’s essays. Chan Yu’s essays cover many genres, like CiFu-verse, eulogize, argumentation, official denunciation, annotation, Fu note, etc. This part tries to find out new clues and makes a comprehensive and detailed argumentation of his essays.
