A Study On Bai Juyi’s Poems And Essays About Garden

Tang Dynasty is the poetry climax, but also the development of the classical gardens of China, the literati used various forms to record different types of landscape, a variety of activities and ideas in the garden. Bai Juyi is a representative of the Mid Tang Dynasty, his poems contain many subjects, and the contents are very extensive. There are a lot of landscape poems and essays in his life, recording his comfortable life of leisure and the view landscape aesthetic consciousness, moreover, we can image the literati feelings and life attitude of Mid Tang dynasty. Therefore, this paper takes the literary works of Bai Juyi about landscape as the research subject, through the relevant literature and literary works of the comb, in order to explore Bai Juyi’s ideas and aesthetic consciousness about garden further and deeper.This paper has three parts, about introduction, text and conclusion. Introduction elaborated the overall pattern of landscape poetry of the Tang Dynasty, to establish a theoretical support for the research, then we reviewed and commented on the current academic research status of landscape literary works of Bai Juyi, pointed out the faultiness, as to put forward the aim and methods of this study. The first chapter focuses on is the activities of garden and Bai Juyi’s literary creation, first,we analyze the rheological garden complex from the perspective of the stage about the poetry generation. Second, it ‘s from the subject matter and content aspects of poetry to discuss in-depth, and then discourse the mutual construction of the close relationship between Bai Juyi’s garden and poetry creation. The second chapter carries on the elaboration to the cultural connotation reflected in the garden poetry of Bai Juyi’s, mainly from the landscape poetry contains the recluse culture, landscape culture, health culture three aspects to consider, Bai often revealed the reclusive mentality of “hidden” in the garden, and when he created a landscape garden carefully, he always had more sophisticated requirements, moreover,formed a very unique concept of health while lived and toured in the garden. The third chapter mainly elaborates the artistic characteristics of Bai Juyi’s garden literary works,mainly in the detailed narrative and meticulous scenery, special and rich garden aesthetics,as well as the language expression of the literary works in three aspects. The conclusion part is mainly carries on the summary and evaluation of holistic landscape literary works of Bai Juyi.
