Compared to her sisters Charlotte Bronte and Emily Bronte, Anne Bronte didn’t have more talent in literature. However, because of the rich connotations and artistic achievements of her novels, nowadays her works appeal to more and more researchers. With the carrier of letters and diaries, Anne expresses characters’inner heart in a unique and delicate way. In the emotional world created by her, Anne shows loving care for every unfortunate thing, including a bird or a dog abuse or working-class people, which makes her novel full of warmth. This is Anne’s unique characteristics of art while it is also criticized seriously. The landscape elaborately described in her novel and the cares for little animals are easy to be ignored, or be regarded as the performance of no critical view.Although as the realistic writer of the nineteenth Century, there are still some difference among Anne, Dickens and Thackeray. Presenting women’s love, marriage, and trivial matters of family life and the emotional herself, especially women’s delicate emotion, her works belongs to the family novel, with the materials of women’s private life. Therefore, it will disappoint those who study her works with the perspective of political criticism. As a matter of fact, what occupies an important position in Anne’s novels is the description of landscape and animals, which is often ignored by readers. Why does the author conceive novels like this? If there is any significance leaves behind? It is an unavoidable problem placed in the researchers. Therefore, the author tries to seek answers from this easily neglected angle of fiction. From the perspective of literary form, natural scenery and animal description indicate the mood of the characters and enrich the images of the characters, pushing forward the development of the story. Through the clever use of natural scenery and animal, Anne enhances the artistic appeal, which forms the important artistic characteristics of Anne’s novels to some extent. As seen from the theme, the description of plants and animals shows the cognition of life philosophy and the thinking of the relationship between man and nature. Almost all of contradictions of Annie’s novel, in the final analysis, is caused by two opposite ideas, one is the pursuit of the ideal country life, the other one is the desire for the sound and the fury of city life. The contradiction between the two is deeply rooted but those two desires are co-exist, which not only enriches the novel but also provides the artistic form. All the positive character are the pursuers and practitioners of the simple and natural lifestyle, while the negative characters are irony criticized by the author, which fully indicate the desire for the harmonious relationship between human and nature. At the same time, the description of plant and animal also highlights the thinking of writer’s morality. In the art world, Anne pursues the harmonious relationship between human and nature. Behind the description of nature, a deeper aim is hidden in her works. Based on the attitude towards animals and nature, she judges one’s spirits and soul. In her opinion, anyone who do not love nature or feel the vitality and the magic power of creator can’t be a moral and kind people. This also means that the author actually aims to construct the Christian myth and spread the Christian Ethic with the description of nature.
