Emotion quality is a characteristic reflected in the process of people’s emotional development, and the developmentof emotional is affected by many factors. Nowadays,with the rapid development of animation industry,the development of animation is getting the attention of the community increasingly.Cartoons, as children’s favorite programs,play an important role as a partner in their childhood.Especially,with the growing of children’s consumer market, animation and its derivatives have been flooded in the lives of children.For children,especially the children in the lower grades of school-age, they have a strong ability to imitate, a little life experience and is in the key period of emotional development/There are both favorable factors and adverse factors to the development of their emotion.Therefore, the research that the influence of the animation for children’s emotional quality has important significance for children’s healthy growth.In this paper,the main research object is school-age children in the lower grades. The author firstly summarizes the current effects of animation on children in our country,and defines related concepts.On the basis of analyzing the reason of the children liking to watch cartoons,the author investigates the status quo of the children to watch cartoons and interview the children and their parents, and then analyzsis animation’s influence on children’s emotional quality. The author divided the influence of animation for children into positive effects and negative effects.In the positive aspects,the author mainly discusses the influence of cartoon for children’s emotional quality characteristics through sound,images, language and plots.In the negative aspects, the author thinks that cartoons caused the children of violence and fear,and personal character.According to the animated film’s influence on children’s emotional quality,the author puts forward to corresponding countermeasures from the viewpoints of society, families and schools.Society,families and schools should work together to avoid disadvantages,to minimize cartoon’s negative influence on children’s development and give full play to the positive role of cartoons, to create a healthy animated environment for children,to promote children’s physical and mental healthy growth. At the end of the article,the author further puts forward suggestions how to improve the quality of the children’s emotional development in school.
