Zhijin sand clay is an ancient arts and crafts, belong to the part of Guizhou folkfine arts. As one of the civilian pottery, it is closely related to people’s lives and playedan important role in the development of history. In recent years, because of theimprovement of productivity in Guizhou and the people’s lifestyle changing, it hasbrought the influence for the zhijin sand clay, the way to break through the bottleneckof the existing and the development direction of zhijin sand clay, has become a verypressing problem.As a kind of Guizhou’s folk kiln, zhijin sand ceramics presents some newchanges in dealing with the social development and their own development process,but it also has some problems that difficult to break through. In this paper, it makesdetailed research and analysis of its basic situation,cultural connotation, artaesthetic,inheritance and development,and concluded how to transform thedevelopment mode to adapt to the diverse cultural environment with systematicstudy. This article altogether is divided into four chapters to be discussed:The preface part mainly explains the research development of zhijin sand clayand the research purpose of this thesis and significance, research methods andcontents.The first chapter mainly discusses the overview of zhijin sand clay—specific tothe region of the pottery, ecological environment and the making craft.The second chapter explores the culture connotation of zhijin sand pottery,elaborates its historical origin and development present situation, discusses thepeople’s understanding and application during the production of sand clay, and thelocal characteristics of food culture by deriving.The third chapter illustrates the embodiment of the aesthetic of the zhijin sandpottery, involving two aspects like the zhijin sand pottery art style and aestheticcharacteristics.The fourth chapter discusses the inheritance and development of zhijin sandpottery, states inheritance present situation of the inheritance and the mode of inheritance. Combined with the zhijin ceramic innovation and development in recentyears, it analyzes the existing problems and indicates the feasibility of innovation anddevelopment countermeasures.
