Based on individual painting practice and research of classic works in history, this paper leadsto the research on different meanings of textures and lines in diverse painting contexts and delicaterelationship between the presence of each other or simultaneously when converting in the scope oftactile painting and visual painting. There for, This paper divides into five sections:Chapter1, Visual textures and lines in visual painting. This section discuss the connectionbetween visual textures and lines. Including the initial and the concept of the tactile painting andvisual painting. Combined with the practice of converting of Cézanne’s work into woodcut toanalyzes the effect of the line in transforming the tactile texture to visual texture, together with theform and significance of tactile texture in tactile painting, lays a foundation for further research.Chapter2, Visual textures and lines in tactile painting. This section analyzes the visualtextures and lines in the scope of tactile painting. Including the concept of visual textures, byanalyzes of Dürer ’s style and the example of painting language transformed《Our lady of Alba》,concludes the painting form by composing line to fabricate visual textures in tactile painting.Chapter3, Tactile textures and lines in visual painting. This section analyzes the tactiletextures and lines in the scope of visual painting. Including the concept of visual painting, take theexample of Manet’s <lunch on lawn>, Pollock’s Action painting and "Network painting" of YayoiKusama,to summarizes the nexus between lines and tactile textures in visual painting.Chapter4, Visual textures and lines in visual painting. This section analyzes the visualtextures and lines in the scope of visual painting. By the example of painting languagetransformed <lunch on lawn> and Chinese painting, to summarizes the importance of lines in theprogress of two types transforming: from tactile textures to visual textures, and from one kind ofvisual textures to another.Chapter5, Concept expansion of texture form and language of line. This section extend theconcept of texture and line, and discusses the new meaning reformed in transforming two differentform of painting and texture. Concludes the form of texture and the language of line from theaspect of mathematics and philosophy, and finally back to the painting practice.
