Chinese traditional aesthetics has always attached more importance to the shaping of the image of characters. The shaping of the image of characters is in the first place in the creation of art works from the view of the latitude of history and development of art. In the works of art, giving care to the character which was put in a specific relation between history and reality, and exploring some associations of the character and realistic can cause the audiences’attention of reality. In the image content system of inspirational youth drama, the shaping and the construction of the image and image series of youth characters are not only the soul of the article, but also the important factors to show the theme of TV drama. According to the artistic creation needs, combined with the creation rules of TV drama, inspirational youth dramas present various kinds of youth image by extracting the young model in real life. They are young, impulsive, enthusiastic but alone, have dreams but lack of life experience, sharpen themselves continuously in the collision between dreams and reality, try to become more mature and steady to achieve the most important change of their life.The presentation of youth image in the inspirational youth drama has realistic foundation and care and concern for younger generation, and it was inspected by market and audiences in the mixed estimate. As the future of the country and the main force of the new century, youth seems to lead everything about culture and thought, from whose image we can see the change of times, the mainstream value and the direction of culture. Therefore, the shaping and the construction of youth image have profound practical significance and humanistic care.Some popular urban inspirational youth dramas in recent years are selected in this research, such as "struggle","youth stage","the struggle of the ant","Beijing youth" etc. as the research text, with the methodology of combining text analysis and content analysis, combing the presentation and shaping of youth image in urban inspirational youth dramas from the perspective of image narrative and semeiology, and find out the reasons for that construction, under what the realistic propagation significance of youth image and dual influences affected youth are analyzed.This paper includes five parts. First, state the development status of the inspirational youth dramas in the last few years on the basis of the definition of inspirational youth drama, followed by text analysis on urban inspirational youth drama, find out the general characteristics of youth image in inspirational youth dramas, on this basis, do further research of the content, summarize the type and constructive model of youth image in inspirational youth drama, discuss the external positioning and inherent shape. Second, analyze from the four aspects:characters constitute, family patterns, occupation identity and regional sentiment, summarize the element to constitute youth image in inspirational youth dramas, analyze the underlying reasons of the construction of youth image in inspirational youth dramas according to the law of art and market development status: social care about humanist and choice respect, and creators’cultural care about attention to social youth group and show personality of youth. Third, analyze the personality charm of youth image in the inspirational youth dramas and symbol significant and propagation significance, as well as the youth group’s cultural identification crisis and sense of identity under spiritual lost and confusion. Finally, base on the research on the above text, summarize the dual influences of youth image in urban inspirational youth dramas affected social youth audience, and provide reasonable suggestions and countermeasures for the shortcomings of the construction of youth image in the inspirational youth dramas.
