The object of the dissertation is the role of Jewish Agency for Palestine in the establish of Israel.Chapter I gives the backgrounds of the establishment of the Jewish Agency for Palestine. In the1920’s, Zionist had a series of different opinions inside and the Yishuv faced severe economical crisis. To change this situation, Chaim Weizmann led the Zionsts established the Jewish Agency for Palestine with Non-zionists together in1929, aimed at striving for more support for the establishment of Israel.Chapter II is the main part of this thesis. This part mainly study on the activities of the Jewish Agency for Palestine in the establishment of Israel. It did all the duties such as immigration settlement, purchase of land, economic policy and so on,palyed an important role in the rapidly development of the jewish community. After the foundation, for the pursuit of the maximization of the Yishuv’s interests, the Jewish Agency for Palestine had made representations with the British mandate government, the United States and the Soviet Union, communicated with the Great powers to strive for their supports of Israel. The United Nations is another field which the agency made effort to achieve support, and they succeeded somehow, the Implementation of Palestine Partition Resolution was passed finally and lay the foundation for the founding of Israel.Chapter Ⅲ mainly explores the activities of the the Jewish Agency for Palestine from the partition Resolution was passed to Israel’s foundation. During this period the Jewish Agency adopted key defence program, protected the the main settlements of Jews from the attack of Arbs. At the same time, it handovered the authority to the national committee, cooperated with the latter to promote the construction of the state power actively, which ensured political stability of the new regime.Conclusion:the activity of Jewish Agency created Israel’s policy model and formed the political party system, which have a profound effect on the Israel political.
