The establishment of Israel in may 1948 is a major event in the mid-20th century in the world. It marks the victory of Zionism. In this vigorous event, emergence of numerous prominent figures, Chaim Weizmann is one of the essential great man. Weizmann dedicated his most energy of his life to the Zionist cause. He maneuvers between the major powers, traumatized, to contribute significantly to the establishment of the State of Israel, become one of the most important leaders of the Zionist movement, before his bearing Herzl, after the start of Ben-Gurion.This Paper is divided into three sections:The first section mainly discusses the ideological outlook of Weizmann about Zionism, and activities at the pre-World WarⅡ. The ideological outlook of Weizmann's Zionism include three aspects:first is identified Palestine as the only land where founding of the Jewish; second is developed the founding principles of rely on power; finally, the style of getting along with the residents have already taken of the founding—from peaceful coexistence, build a country to depend on power to Establish an independent nation. His main activities in the World WarⅡis to enable the "Balfour Declaration" introduced and the "Weizmann-Faisal Agreement" signed.The second section describes the efforts to achieve Zionist goals of Weizmann during the World WarⅡ, which include four aspects:one is seeking the power's support. In addition to continuing to seek support from the United Kingdom, Weizmann was also actively seek the most powerful countries of the United States and the Soviet Union's supports. Second is established Jewish army. The establishment of the Jewish arm forces are the Jews aspirations from the initial of the warⅡ, after several twists and turns, the goal reached. Third is fighting a large number of immigrants to Palestine.In the context of Holocaust, since other countries do not want to accept Jewish refugees and immigrants, striving for a large number of immigrants to Palestine was the only choice under this circumstance. Forth is use technology for supportThe third section discussed the efforts of weizmann Around the partition resolution and the build of Israel. In order to the partition resolution can be passed, Weizmann try his best to depend on power and fight for small countries, making the majority of the United Nations agreed the partition resolution, provided the legal basis to the establishment of Israel. In May 1948, before and after the establishment of the State of Israel, Weizmann took advantage of all the forces that can be used for support, eventually making the recognition of Israel by the international community, become a full member of one of the United Nations.After the founding of the State of Israel, Weizmann was elected to the first president, and revered as the father of Israel. This is full recognition to Weizmann's noble character and the contribution to the cause of founding of the Jews.
