On The Bells Tang Poetry

This thesis aims to probe into the tang dynasty’s Yebo-themed poems and find out their artistic characteristics from a special new point of view------Yebo. In addition, it try to get a better understanding of the theme of yebo by analyzing different periods’ poets’ different mentalities, different conditions and their different backgrounds. On the basis of yebo theme, this thesis adopt the method of analysis and interprestaion, present the poet’s yebo life and their special feeling that get from this kind of life-style. As far as possible sum up the trival things about yebo life to make a more detailed introduction of these points. It is the thesis’another creative goals.On another hand, the most important purpose of this article is the study of the tang dynasty’s yebo-themed poems. We have discovered the relationship between the tang dynasty’s yebo-themed poems and the older period’s ye-themed and jilv-themed poems. Tang dynasty’s poets get same influences from these poems, but there are some new characteristics that are developed by this period’s poets. In this thesis, we find out three epochal character of the tang dynasty’s poem by some diferent methods.This article is basically composed by poem interpretation. We read and analyse a lot of yebo-themed poems and summed up two artistic characteristics of this kind of poem. The first one is about uesing some typical images in these poems. For exemple, the moon imagery, the dearm imagery and the boat imagery, etc. Because these typical images appeared in the yebo poems again and again, we can tell they are important for understanting poem. The second one is about how to shape the poet’s self image. It is quite different from other poems. Poets shape their own image from their real suffering and imagination, so in the poems, they are become more well-rounded.All in all, the tang dynasty’s yebo-themed poems draw narrow, but they have a chine of showing details and private life of many tang people. There are some poem writing methods which affect the later poets of tang and song. Yebo-themed poems reflect the tang’s development process from prosperity to decline. Because these poems revealed deeply sadness, despite in different period this sadness’s level is different.
