This article, mainly and systematically, studies the number of poems, ideologicalcontent and artistic features of LuYou’s poems, in which his KuiZhou poems areobjects of research in combines with historical background and his personal experience.When luYou went to BaShu at middle age, he took charge of the TongPan of KuiZhou.After he left SiChuan, he had created more than two hundred poems, which expressedcherishing the past time, or about affective life by virtue of sceneries, or indicated hisambitions by virtue of dreaming, or reflected the Customs. Even though he was in thelife trough, under the encouragement of the great mountains of Yu States, he alwayshad a loyal sense of patriotism and insisted on his dream of recovering the losingterritory by fighting for Jin Dynasty. As his turning points of his poem style at themiddle age, LuYou’s KuiZhou poems had a wide of topics and high degree ofprofessional proficient language, in addition, his poem style became depressed, butgreat since then. To begin with the creation background of KuiZhou poems, this articleanalyses the characteristics of contents and arts. Regarding the quantity of KuiZhoupoems, the article make somewhat supplement for it according to the extant literaturesand self-recognition. By virtue of literatures review and comparative analysis, thearticle is conducted vertically and horizontally, which reveals the characteristics ofcontents and arts. Through LuYou’s life, due to his encountering tremendous setbacks,and bearing too much sense of loneliness, so he had a lot of homesick, moreimportantly, his poems involved patriotism and recovering losing territory. By readingthe KuiZhou Poems, we can learn the natural sceneries of BaYu, rich humanisticspirits, and unsophisticated customs, which show us the charm of BaYu. All in all,LuYou’s KuiZhou poems have an important influence on the BaYu literature by meansof making supplement for it.
