Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin is a famous Russian composer in the end of19thcentury and at the beginning of the20thcentury. As an influential composer in modernmusic history,he opened up a new world for composers of20thcentury, built a bridgebetween Romanticism and modern music, and developed a new way to Modern Music.Piano music plays an important role in Scriabin’s music, which falls into threestages. The five piano sonatas at late third stage are the representatives of matureperiod of Scriabin’s creation unique technique. He broke the traditional composingprinciple and developed unique skills with new harmony, timbre and tone.From the perspective of Scriabin’s musical language, this thesis begins withharmonies analyzes to conclude the composing features of Scriabin, First of all, fromthe origin of the style of music of Scriabin and Mysticism start to understand thebackground of the formation of the composers style is presented. Secondly, thecharacteristics of the five piano sonatas are summarized through analyzing the tonalityin them. Thirdly, the origin application of harmony embodied thinking and ‘mysticchord’ in his works in the five piano sonatas. Finally, the Five Piano Sonatas arestudied as a whole to make a summary of Scriabin’s music creation features.
