Application Of Yunnan Ethnic Music Pipa Music Creation And Playing

China’s music has a long history. As times and societies develop, pipa, atraditional Chinese instrument, undergoes periods of transforming and integrating.With the number of its players and researchers is increasingly improved, the art ofpipa performance has been playing an important role in the ethnic music of China.Located in special terrains and surrounded by terrific environment and cultures,Yunnan enjoys colorful music elements with ethnic music characteristics. Pipa hasformed a new type of performance, which absorbs other folk music elements ofYunnan. In this passage, the author describes the background of pipa as well assome ethnic instruments in Yunnan, and studies similarities and differencesbetween pipa and Yunnan‐based minority ethnic instruments. As a result, pipadevelops by integrating with kinds of music element based on a variety of historybackgrounds, languages, circumstances and lifestyles.
