For the writer Shi Tiesheng, whose survival situation is so special, the "nothingness" in his literary works must comes from his own experience. The "nothingness" Appears in Shi Tiesheng’s survival attitude and his literary works, which overturns the ideology of the reality and the hope of future. Throughout his life and his literature, even though his literary works describe the "nothingness" so many times, but his Target is not to destroy but to rebuild a new value system, which can resolve the spiritual crisis of contemporary Chinese people. And this is also the thesis wants to discuss, about the highest pursuit of Shi Tie sheng’s literary. The "nothingness" this thesis talking about is not exactly the same of the nihilism in Western philosophy. This thesis mainly analyze how Shi Tiesheng rebuild his new value system, from the his experience and his literary works.The first chapter, tries to explore the complicated relation between Shi Tiesheng’s unique " nothingness " experience and his literary works. Suicide, love frustration and inferiority are profound influence the writer’s creation tendency. The second chapter, tries to analyze the " nothingness " in Shi Tiesheng’s literary works, from time and space two aspects. The third chapter, tries to sure Shi Tiesheng’s literary significance by discussing the writer’s recognition of the value of life. Shi Tiesheng did not rely on any higher sense of the divine power to get salvation. He found the reality of the self-spirit, found the reality of life processes behind. This kind of spirit is benefitial to resolve the spiritual crisis of contemporary Chinese people.
