Cultural Transformation Policy In Practice In The Use Accompanied By Interpreters

Cultural difference can cause a lot of inconvenience during the communicationbetween two cultures, therefore, the translators, especially accompanied interpretersmust deal with the cultural difference by using cultural switching strategies. Based onthe accompanied interpretation practice in Marlboro College-Heilongjiang University2012Environment Study Program, this thesis comes up with four cultural switchingstrategies (adding translation strategy, explaining translation strategy, free translationstrategy and flexible translation strategy), combining them with specific cases toanalyze the application of cultural switching strategies in the practice of accompaniedinterpretation, aiming to accomplish interpreting tasks and optimize the interpretationby applying cultural switching strategies.
