For our country,Macro-economic control is much more powerful, so there is no legislation for the hedgefunds so far. But the worldwide hedge fund companies have been optimistic about theChinese market and begun to test depth of the water. Legislation to regulate the hedgefunds has been imperative.This paper introduced the basic concept, classification, history of development andthe basic rules for operation of the hedge funds. It analyzed the legal relations of thecross-border hedge funds from a legal point of view, and made a list of thecorresponding legislation of some typical national, regional and internationalorganizations as a guide. To know yourself as well as the enemy, we should get ready tomeet the hedge funds entering our country.
