Now, the animation industry has brought considerable economic benefits for manycountries, at the same time, it is one of the national key creative industries all around theworld, China is no exception. However，even though a booming industry trends and emergingsubsidy policies, the copyright protection of the animation industry has many seriousproblems. The reasons are various, which include the weak consciousness of the citizen andanimation enterprises, wicked copyright environment of our country, the incomplete laws andregulations and so on. As for the results, if we don’t give an inadequate protection of thecopyright of our animation industry, all the efforts of the Animation practitioners will bewasted, which will seriously hamper the sustainable development of animation industry. Sothe copyright protection has become a core and important factor in the development of theAnimation industry.Compared with the Anime power Japan and America and so on, the copyright protectionof our animation industry is relatively backward, which directly affects the economic benefitsand international image of China’s animation industry. In the face of domestic rampant piracyand foreign copyright invasion, we must be vigilant and take countermeasures.Used the literature analysis and comparative analysis methods, this paper is based on therelated concept definition of animation industry and copyright protection, analyzes the presentsituation of the animation industry in the areas of law, administration and technology. Thispaper concludes the main problems and reasons existing in the industry, learns the successfulexperience of the copyright protection of Japan and American animation industry on the basisof the prime problem of its own, put forwards the corresponding Suggestions to improve ourcopyright protection of animation industry.
