As important part of the party’s work, the work of Party History has an Irreplaceable position and vital function in all of the party and the national work.Therefore, the party has always attached great importance to the work of Party history.The work of Party history suffered serious interference and destruction due to Lin Biao and the Gang of Four willfully tampering during the cultural revolution of ten years. This make the work of Party history face the historic task of bring order out of chaos in the new period. since he hold the post of Vice-President of the Central Party School, Hu Yaobang has carried out a series of work on restoration and reconstruction and bring order out of chaos in the field of History. And he has made outstanding contributions to the development of party history since the reform and opening up.Cadres should do, the soldiers have to battle, as Hu Yaobang said. Hu Yaobang is not only say but do like this. He is such a vanguard fighter who charges forward, fights bravely and achieving outstanding military exploits. Hu Yaobang made a significant contribution in strengthening Party building, consolidating and expanding the united front and the prosperity of literary and artistic work in the new period after he became a important leader of the party during the new period of reform and opening up. As a Party leadership angle, this paper mainly discusses the historical contributions made by Hu Yaobang to the work of party history since the reform and opening up.The thesis is divided into five chapters:Chapter1Introduction describes the significance, situation and methods of the study about Hu Yaobang’ work of party history. Researching Hu Yaobang outstanding contributions to the work of the Party History after reform and opening up and drawing important revelation has important practical significance to the future work of the party history especially in the background of CPC Central Committee attaches great importance to strengthen the work of the Party history under the new situation. Now there is few book and article on Hu Yaobang’s work of the Party history beacause the work to Hu Yaobang’s research is in the initial and development stage and focuses mainly on the work of party history, youth league work, united front work and The work of literature and art and other fields.
