Research On Marxism Population Theory

Initially formed by Marx and Engels, developed by Lenin and Stalin, then constantly enriched and developed by Chinese classic Marxism writers, Marxism population theory is a scientific theory system and a very important part of Marxism theory system. It is also the guiding ideology and the basic principles in our population study, policy formulation and then to solve the population problem. From the foundation of new China to the period of the reform and opening up, our population practice was just carrying out under the guidance of Marxism population theory. This process was full of successes and also the failures. After the reform and opening up, along with the economic transition and social transformation, there appeared many new population problems need to be solved urgently in our real society. This dissertation, elaborated the main content of Marxism population theory, which includes the definition of Marxism population, the theory of two kinds of productions, the theory of universal law of population, the relative surplus law theory of population, the theory of population development and society development, urbanization and migration theory of population. Then summarized the characters of Marxism population theory, which is scientific, open and humanistic, then analyzed the practice of Marxism population theory in Chinese society, used Marxism population theory to appraise Chinese population policy and put forward some countermeasures to solve these problem.
