| Leo Strauss (1899-1973) was a German-born Jew, who is considered to be a profound thinker of the twentieth century. The scholars agreed that the theological-political issues and the past and present dispute is the core of its ideology, these two points also constitute the framework of Strauss’s political philosophy aspect. Strauss’s political philosophy is quite different from the point of contemporary political thinkers, through the analysis of the modem crisis; Strauss turned to the initiator of modern political philosophy-Machiavelli, via Machiavelli dating back to the political philosophy of Socrates, and ultimately found the source of maintaining the vitality of Western civilization in the political philosophy of Socrates. The first crisis of political philosophy started from Machiavelli’s modern political. The second crisis began in Rousseau’s criticism of modern political state of nature-based sight. The third crisis as well as the crisis of our times attributed to Nietzsche and Heidegger’s political philosophy traceability.The fourth part explores Strauss’s political philosophy rescue Road.
