From1978to1994the United States government issued three important legislations that aimed at Indian policy on freedom of religion to protect the right to freedom of American Indian religious in term of law.However before the legislations issued the American Indian are under the environment that they are unable to properly exercise his rightand process the normal religious activities.The article has three parts.The first parts mainly discuss The US government to Indian policy and the religion policy and the process that the Indian fight for the right and the background that before1978the Indian had the religious activities.The second part discuss the reason that The US government issued three important bills that aim at Indianpolicy on freedom of religious and the policy content and the policy impact.The third parts discuss from1978to1994the characteristics of the American Indian policy on freedom of religion and Indian religion activities had an impact on the American society andconcept of religious freedom of the United States.Through the discussion of the article we can know in process that the American Indian fight for right to legal religious activities the American government constantly adjustpolicy to Indian religious activities including background and reason content and impact.not only embodies the American government to Indian policy shift, and it also shows the consciousness of civil rights in the new era of development and the progress of the concept of freedom of religion.
