China has gradually entered the aging society, at the same time, the proportion of theelderly population increase was accompanied by insufficient endowment resourcesphenomenon, pension issues have become increasingly serious. From the internationalscope, method of this one problem all over the world in coping with aging although not thesame, but there is a same trend is given in the account, national pension, pensioninvestment choice greater rights, therefore, the people’s own financial literacy may affectfuture pension level everyone. This paper analyses the actual conditions of Beijing arearesidents’ financial literacy through the actual investigation, research related financialliteracy and individual pension plan, and explore the way to improve residents’ financialliteracy.This paper is divided into four parts: the first part, introduces the background of thisresearch, the purpose and the significance of the research; the second part, mainlyintroduce the design and recovery of the questionnaire, analysis of the characteristics ofrespondents population structure; the third part, investigation report on the results andanalysis show, including Beijing residents’ financial literacy situation analysis, financialliteracy and correlation analysis of variables, residents’ financial literacy self assessment ofthe situation and the actual situation contrast, different categories of residents of retirementplanning analysis, Beijing residents financial literacy status and retirement planningdescriptive statistics, research conclusion. The fourth part, puts forward related suggestions:including the society should increase financial education and nursing propaganda, as wellas people for different age to take a variety of ways of education.
