Diversifying Settlement Mechanism Welfare Cases

In recent years, many cases, such as environment pollution, infringement of lawfulrights of a throng of consumers, occur frequently, so that it has been increasinglyimportant and urgent to protect public interests. In dealing with the public interest cases,different dealing methods in practice, some only relying on administrative means, sometrying to seek judicial remedy, lead directly to the public interests lack of properprotection. Settlements for the public interest cases have also been discussed both intheory research and in practice research. On the basic of researching different practicesettlements of public interest cases, this paper analyzes the current problems in dealingwith public interest cases, then arrives at a conculution that the public interest casesshould be solved by diversified dispute solving system, not only improving the lawsuitmechanism, but also setting up the grand mediation mechanism and the arbitrationmechanism.
