As market economy opens the door to mass media, almost all kinds of TV cultural products adapt to people’s life rapidly. In early2010, a new TV marriage show "You Are the One" which brought a viewing climax, catered to the needs of the society, and was quickly copied. What is the mechanism of TV cultural production, and what is the deep implications beyond TV cultural products have become an important issue that we must face up.This paper is based on a case study on the TV show "You Are the One", aiming to explore the basic structure and development process of the program, analyzing the economy, culture, politics, social psychology and other factors as well, in order to emphasize the impact of external factors not only for this program even a whole development of the mass culture in China.Based on what is discussed above, this paper employs both text analysis and symbols analysis as methods, and analyzes the typical program segments selected from the all. It is obvious through the analysis that the male and female guests’ viewpoints about marriage refract young people’s viewpoints about love and marriage in nowadays; Language, movements, image and talent of the guests reveal the characteristics that in show times people have the wills to show and behave quite skillfully in it; The link set of "You Are the One", the guide of mass media, and also the methods that program producers employ to maintain the leading position among the same kind of programs indicate that the mass media use the logic and technology of cultural products’production to cater to the needs of the audience.Finally, this paper will also bring in arguments about the program from many aspects in society, combining with the views of the co-sponsors and opponents, and making a deep analysis of the research based on what is mentioned above. Ultimately, it reveals the multi-dimensional properties of the show:First, it is related to the secular love and reflect both the real views of love and marriage and social mentality of the public; Second, in show times people are into show and good at it, the program provides a stage for the guests to shine themselves; Third, the production department use the TV cultural technology to produce cultural products in order to satisfy and cater to the audience. And studying the attributes of cultural products from the perspective of cultural production will do help to understand mass cultural products more deeply.
