What Makes Them Together

According to the international usual measure, as early as2000our country has entered an ageingsociety. These characteristics of fast aging, big aging population, and old before rich make ourendowment burden heavier. At the same time, the miniaturization of family size and family structure ofcore in China after the reform and opening-up weaken the traditional family endowment. Pensionproblem has become a serious social problem, which has drawn great attention of the state and society.Pension mainly includes three aspects: the economic support, life care and spiritual comfort. Withthe rapid development of economy, people’s living standards improve gradually. Because our countryimprove pension policy gradually and invest financial heavily, the economy sources and the life care ofthe most elderly have been guaranteed. But the elderly’s spiritual solace is in relatively weak, particularattention about spirit endowment is not enough, spirit endowment service lack.At present, some cities in our country appeared the elderly organize recreational groups to meetwith the demand of spirit. The Hongsheng choir in Beijing Zizhuyuan Park is one of these groups. Itconsists of some retired and retiring elderly which self organizing and self participation, chorusactivities regularly to meet the demand of old people’s entertainment spirit. This research adopts casestudy method. It based on participant observation and interviews for one year. It discussed the basicsituation, development history, meaning, value and difficulties of Hongsheng choir. In addition, it putforward countermeasures for Hongsheng choir. The research conclusion of this article is as follows:Hongsheng choir is a non-profit grassroots entertainment group for elderly. It is conducive to theparticipants’ physical and mental health, broaden the elderly social scope, and also solve the spiritendowment problem from bottom to top， which is advantageous to the construction of socialharmonious society and spiritual civilization in our country.Due to the nature of the organization’s grassroots and the loose of management, Hongshengdoesn’t have unified coordination and management. The participants often lost. The capital sourcechannel is narrow. The choir lack of professional guidance and strong support of government andsociety. All of these aspects limit the development of elderly grassroots chorus.In order to promote the development of domestic old grassroots organization and realize the elderlyspiritual needs, this study put forward the proposal from the old grassroots organization, the governmentand society three aspects. First, the older grassroots choir should strengthen its own construction andplay its role fully. Second, the government and related departments should further transform function tosupport elderly choir. Third, the society should strengthen the elderly grassroots choir funding supportand professional guidance.
