PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment, PISA),is a project whichevaluate international students’ ability.It’s evaluation areas are divided into the three aspectsinclude reading, mathematics and scientific literacy and PISA (2006) focuses on theassessment of the Students’ Scientific Literacy.Situations, abilities, knowledge and attitudesconstitute the four elements of scientific literacy.In this paper, I want to analysis theknowledge, especially the scientific knowledge part in ontological.First the introductory section will outline the issues and the value of the research, thenintroduced the status of the research at home and abroad, which the paper innovations.The second chapter will introduces the PISA evaluation system of scientific knowledge,and shows its position and role.First introduce PISA (2006) Evaluation of scientific literacyframework elaborately, because knowledge is an integral part of scientific literacy.WhilePISA (2006) put forward a new perspective classification on the scientific knowledge,dividedinto two aspects which are Knowledge of science and Knowledge about science.Then find theeffect of scientific knowledge and the relationship between other parts.The third and four chapter are the focus of this study, mainly analysis the scientificknowledge in ontological. China’s traditional classification of scientific knowledge, is dividedinto the scientific facts, scientific concepts, scientific laws, and scientific theories.Because thescientific knowledge must be description. However, PISA (2006) using a new perspectiveabout knowledge about science into scientific inquiry and scientific explanations.This partwill start on the analysis of knowledge about science, then analysis the scientific inquiry,scientific explanation from an ontological perspective.Such as the questions:why divide theknowledge about science into scientific inquiry and scientific explanation,why scientificinquiry originated in curiosity, why does science explains divided into hypotheses, theories,models, laws,and how to make students understand the hypothesis is a scientific explanation,and so on.These are the questions which I want to solve.Finally, the fifth part mainly brings us enlightenment for knowledge about Science inPISA (2006).
