Study On College Students’ Concerns And Its Guidance On The Hot Social Issues In The Horizon Of Ideological And Political Education

As the focus of the public life, hot social issues can always drive the certainmood among the public. At same time, this kind of mood can also arouse dissensionand even social behavior. After our society entering the period of transition,production structure has adjusted accordingly and interests pattern has also changed.Besides, diverse values and the hot social issues especially these are involved thelivelihoods have appeared again and again. The college students who keep an eye onthe hot social issues among the public attach the great attention from the researchersnot only because their unique group character but also special society status. On onehand, college students show high attention on the social issues and what they payattention to is different from others; On the other hand, the inherent emotions andideas of social issues will influence the college stude nts’ psychology, thoughts andbehaviors. So how to use the positive influence of the hot social issues, reduce thenegative effects and guide the college students show attention on social issuescorrectly have become the practical problems in the front of the universities’ politicseducation.The paper includes three parts. The first part is the overall researc h about the hotsocial issues. It mainly analyzes the definition of the hot social issues and summarizesthe realistic problems that reflected by the current social issues, which throughcombining with nearly five years of the specific hot social issues. What’s more, it alsodescribes the dynamic evolution of the current social issues by analyzing the trend ofthe hot ones. The second part is the research about the college students’ concern onthe hot social issues. In this part, it analyzes and summarizes the characteristics of thecollege students’ concern on the hot social issues, which includes high attention, highconformity, entertainment tendency and selective preference of the negativeinformation. To complete with, the first step is to analyze the college students’concerning mechanism about the hot social issues, and then do the research based onthe existing research results, investigation report, personal experience and socialobservation. The third part refers to the research about the countermeasures of thecollege students’ hot social concerns. To guide the college students to analyze themeanings of focusing on the hot social concerns, and put forward the countermeasuresaccordingly by combining with the relationship that between the college students’Ideological and Political education and the hot social concerns. It is worthy for us topay more attention that political education on college students’ hot social concernsshould mainly make use of guiding rather than forced infusion and high-pressurepolicy. Only on the basis of respecting the college students’ equal rights on speech,can we get something useful.
