NBA Player Salary Study

NBA (National Basketball Association) attracts the attention of fans around the world by high ornamental and excellent marketing, and becomes one of the most successful professional sports league in the world. Successful commercial operation brings the bonanza for the NBA, and its strong currency provides guarantee to pay high salary. At the same time, the comparatively perfect players’ compensation management system which established in decades of development provides a basis for the orderly management. Study of the management system and current situation of NBA players’ compensation can provide reference for the development of Chinese basketball professional league.Based on the NBA players’compensation as the research object, this paper adopts literature research, logical analysis, mathematical statistics and other research methods to carry out related research. First of all, generalize and analyze the NBA players’ compensation management system, at the same time statistical describe and analyze its current situation; Secondly, analyze the influence factors of the NBA players’ overall compensation level from two aspects of internal and external, and concludes that it has strong external competitive; Again, analyze the internal fairness of NBA players’ compensation structure from the player position, competitive level and veteran of three aspects, and the result shows that it has good internal consistency. The research to NBA players’ compensation can provide reference to improve CBA players’compensation management and its healthy and orderly development.
