Study On The Long-term Volunteers In Children Welfare Agency

Volunteer service, a symbol of social civilization and progress, is a noble public welfare program. Due to the particularity of the service objects in the social welfare houses, the service has its special requirements for volunteers. Volunteers in this survey are divided into two categories, one is those who offer long-term or cyclical service to the disabled in welfare institutions, and the other is the parents who attend the adopted children in foster families. From the theory of ecological system and demand motivation, it undertakes systematic research in terms of the service motivation, service continuity and functions through the qualitative and and quantitative methods, that is literature review, questionnaire and case interview. The paper, from macroscopic, mid-gradational and microcosmic views respectively, puts forward some suggestions and thoughts, especially on the aspects of volunteer service and management of adopted family model to improve the management of volunteer service in social welfare institutions.
