If we want to promote and implement quality education, we should base on the individual differences of students to promote the all-round development of each student. However, the traditional teaching method focuses on the development of the majority of the students, not takes care of each student. The existing research mostly focused on the students’ commonalities, not payed enough attention to students’ diversities. Differentiated instruction emphasizes caring of the individual differences of students to develop the potential of each student, and also attaches great importance to the role of collective teaching, the instruction stresses the differences of students’ needs, interests, moralities, and capacities. Under the guidance of the new curriculum ideas, it is necessary to promote the comprehensive development of each student and to improve the collective teaching effectiveness.First, This study uses literature research method to summarize and inquire the theories of differentiated instruction, which laid the theoretical foundation for the study. Next, in this study, the writer uses questionnaires, interviews and observation to understand the status of implementation of the differentiated instruction. I find there are many problems:some teachers are not aware of the differences of students, ignoring the initiatives and differences of the students, and implementing the homogenization teaching; although some teachers are aware of the importance of the differences in the teaching, but they have no enough time and energy to implement the differentiated teaching; Although some teachers recognize the significance of diffferences, they can not implement the differentiated instruction because of lacking effective method for guidance. At last, we make effort to design reasonable and useful teaching and learning strategies to enforce differentiated instruction:Teachers’teaching strategies include:teachers should emphasis on the differentiated instruction in their mind; teachers should consider of the teaching aims, teaching contents, teaching methods, teaching evaluations comprehensively, so they can design reasonable and operational teaching programs. Students’ learning strategies include:given the characteristics of each student, encourage students to build confidence on their own; use of flexible grouping and individual counseling to promote students’ diversities.
