As in this study, by means of literature, mathematical statistics, logical analysis andcomparative analysis of other research methods to study the history of the development of theAmerican University intercollegiate athletics sports league, the development of Americanintercollegiate athletics sports league is divided into the following four stages: the beginningof humanism--the stage of NCAA’s origin; the struggle between humanism andutilitarianism—NCAA’s home rule stage; the reform of humanism—NCAA’s reform stageand the complete of humanism—NCAA’s mature stage. And get some suggestions for China’sintercollegiate competitive sports development in the following points:(1) The developmentof China’s intercollegiate competitive sports should have humanism thinking, should alwaysadhere to "people-oriented, student-centered" principle, departure from the student-athletes’rights and their full development, to achieve the sustainable development of China’sintercollegiate competitive sports.(2) The development of China’s intercollegiate competitivesports management system should be established to improve the institutional setup, thecorresponding autonomy, and enhance its contractual rights through legislation.(3) We shouldimprove our intercollegiate competitive sports events settings,to found more tournaments, tolet more college students-athletes can participate in the intercollegiate-sports.(4) To improvethe zone system of intercollegiate competitive sports.(5) We should improve the recruitmentof the China’s intercollegiate Athletic Talents (student-athletes), and determine thenationwide unified enrollment standards, to expand enrollment range and channel. Let thestudents who under the age of22get into the university system, and establish someappropriate incentives.(6) We should improve the student-athletes at the university learningand training support mechanisms, to ensure that their quality of courses and graduation ratesof students-athletes in the development of the talent ability to achieve its purpose of accessto higher education.(7) To improve the sources of funding of intercollegiate competitivesports and strengthen its market development, and improve self-hematopoietic function of thecollege sports teams, to achieve the sustainable development of China’s intercollegiate athleticsports.(8)We should learn from the practice of the NCAA, adhere to the "amateur" principle,China’s inter-university sports development should strengthen incentives for students-athletes, such as scholarships, so you can promote student-athletes to learn academicknowledge and training, to receive higher level education while developing their talent.
