Qinhuangdao City Community Sports Development

As an important part of China’s sports, the development of urban community sport isessential to the development of national quality and socialist cultural and ethic progress.On one hand, the progress in science and technology change theeconomic development model, which depends mainly on labor. That makes people havemore time. On the other hand, as living standards rise, so does the health awareness, thedemand for community sport is getting greater and greater.Recently, Qinhuangdao city has made many achievements in the development ofcommunity sport. But there are still some issues restricting its development. All thoseproblems against to the construction of well-off society. Hence it’s necessary toinvestigate the strategies of Qinhuangdao community sport. The paper discussed thedevelopment of Qinhuangdao community sport in the perspective of motivation, polemicand organization, candidates, venue and instrument, and the importance of BeijingOlympic Games in2008. In the end, we discussed the huge significance of communitysport for Qinhuangdao.There are many causes affect the development of Qinhuangdao community sport. Inthe aspect of regulations, the management of community sport is backward, and theorganization of community is imperfect. In the aspect of economy, economy developmentlevel restricts the development of community sport, sporting areas and instrument. In theaspect of cognition, the understanding about community sport and sports consumptionconception is weak. There are also other aspects such as urbanization, aging and theinstructor. Therefore, the following measures should be taken to solve the problems.(1)scientific management, strengthen the organization;(2) sports facilities shall beimproved;(3) increase the awareness of fitness, take an active part in community sports;(4) accelerate the construction of volunteers and instructors.
