Analysis On Applications And Features Of Techniques Of Opposite Position Boxing Athletes In China

Boxing is one of the most attractive events in modern sports and it is one of the traditionalOlympic competition events all along. The preparatory posture is the basic technique ofboxing offence and defence.It can be divided into fist position (right position) and oppositeposition (left position). In fist position, left foot is in front of the right foot. Left hand is theleading hand and the right hand is the heavy punch. The opposite fist position is the namedopposite position, and we are accustomed to call it left-hander. However, because ofdevelopment of modern boxing and physical condition of the athletes themselves, incompetitions we will encounter some athletes using both fist position and opposite position aswell as “false left-handed”. It is left position player’s special stance and playing way thatmakes general fist position player uncomfortable, which would lead in mental imbalance andfailure. There are10classes in the National Boxing Championships held in Dalian in2011.Finally,10players enter the final and six left position players of them win in the finals. Amongthese finals, there are four matches in which two left position players come across, and twomatches in which left position players win the right position player. From the above result wecan see that left position player has technical advantages and being vital in boxing.This paperuses the following methods as video analysis, expert interviews, literature, statistics toresearch and analyze basic techniques, offensive techniques, counter attack and intercepttechniques applied by left position players. It will change our awareness of techniques of leftposition players through a research on technique application and features of left positionplayers. it will expand left position players’ exclusive advantages and help them to achieveremarkable performance.
